The Outback Kids Zone is a colourful, family-friendly creative hub where children can drop in throughout the day to explore music, art and hands-on festival fun. Within the zone, children can move freely between three interactive stations, each offering a different creative experience. At the Country & Rock Music Guitar Show & School, kids can join Marvellous Miss Mary and Zippity Zac for lively music sessions where they can try guitars and instruments, sing along, and learn simple rhythms together. At Makeover Magic, children can transform with professional face painting and fun temporary tattoos, adding a splash of colour and festival spirit. At the Craft Corner, kids can relax and get creative with colouring activities, craft projects and take-home designs inspired by the outback and night sky. The Outback Kids Zone is a welcoming space where families can gather, children can enjoy themselves as we celebrate Hughenden Outback Skies.

Outback Kids Zone is delivered by Marvellous Miss Mary and Zippity Zac from Brilliant Community Activations & Moments, Townsville-based creative educators and family entertainers who create vibrant children’s spaces at festivals and community events. Their interactive programming combines live music, creative craft activities, face painting and hands-on workshops, creating a welcoming hub where families can relax while children explore creativity. Their work has featured at events including the Tamworth Country Music Festival Kids Zone , Parks Elvis Festival, the Winton Outback Festival, bringing joyful, inclusive experiences to regional communities across the country.
