Stained Glass Workshops

In the workshops people can expect to complete a small piece comprising of 3 – 5 pieces of glass. There will be a variety of patterns to choose from which people can make their own through their choice of glass or they are welcome to design their own piece. They will learn to cut and shape the glass using a glass cutter and grinder and solder the pieces together to create a beautiful sun catcher!

Minimum participant age is 14.

Friday: 9.30am – 12pm, & 1pm – 3:30pm

Saturday: 9.30am – 12pm, & 1pm – 3:30pm

Sunday: 10am -12.30pm

Liz Knight

Positive Creations

Liz Knight is an accomplished stained glass artist that has completed many commissioned works and also runs workshops from her studio in Cannonvale.

Her journey in glass art began about 30 years ago when she was drawn to the medium by the vibrant colours and textures within the glass. Beginning with basic stained glass techniques her art has evolved to incorporate various other natural materials such as wood, metal & natural fibres which, through their combination, creates contrasts and highlights the beauty in each material.

She has always loved and lived close to nature and this great love has been a driving force in her artistic expression and choice of both materials and subject. Her works include both traditional and modern stained glass windows and 3D sculptural works.  She has been teaching glass work since 2004 and love sharing the creative process and seeing people’s artistic self evolve.
