You can build your own lantern at the festival to be part of this special parade. There will be free Lantern Making Workshops at the showgrounds all three days of the festival.
To participate in the parade, you will need to gather at the lantern parade meeting area with your lantern at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
The walk is around 800m and the pathway is accessible for wheelchairs, strollers and mobility scooters, so everyone can join in.
Floating lanterns will also be be released onto the Lake at this time as well.
The best viewing area will be on the north-west side of the lake.
