Geminid Meteor Shower

Early risers are in for a treat! Head to Mount Walker to check out the spectacular Geminid Meteor Shower. Geminid meteors tend to be bright and aren’t super-fast so they are easier to see than some of the other meteor showers. There’s also the occasional fireball, and the meteors can be seen from the naked eye. You can expect to see between 11-14 meteors per hour.

The best nights to view the Geminid Meteor Shower are May 5, 6, & 7 between the hours of 2.45am – 5.00am.

The best viewing place in Hughenden is at Mount Walker.
