Australian songwriter Pete Cullen blazes his own outlaw country trail. His songs are real, a testament to his wild heart and honest old soul.

Pete Cullen released his 6th album Ease Your Troubled Mind in 2024 produced by Jared Adlem & Nash Chambers. His songs have received airplay on stations like Triple J, CMT, KIXFM, ABC Country, Triple A and community stations throughout Australia. He has been a five time finalist in the Queensland Music Awards. In 2017 Pete wrote an anthem for Newtown’s Young Henrys Brewery which was played High Rotation on MTV. His song Tombstone Rider was synced on Tim Winton’s series Upright in 2022 and Down The Road was synced on Hit USA show Heels in 2024. Cullen and his band The Hurt have been stalwarts at the infamous Lefty’s Music Hall, Caxton St Brisbane holding a residency for 11 years. This reputation has seen Pete Cullen & The Hurt headline Tamworth’s Americana in the Park in 2020, Gympie Muster, Groundwater, Winton’s Way Out West, Big Skies and Blues On Broadbeach festivals.

In April 2023, Pete Cullen to Nashville to record with Nash Chambers in Nashville TN. Whilst in Nashville Pete performed at Layla’s on Broadway, The Bluebird Café, and Jane’s Hideaway. Subsequently Pete was invited to a local’s party where he jammed with some of the USA’s finest bluegrass pickers including Billy Strings.
